About This Tool

In attendance tracking and project management, work hours are often recorded as hours:minutes (e.g., "2 hours 45 minutes"), but payroll and billing systems typically require decimal hours (e.g., 2.75 hours). This tool quickly converts between the two formats.

Formulas

H:M → Decimal: Decimal Hours = Hours + (Minutes ÷ 60) e.g., 2h 45m → 2 + (45 ÷ 60) = 2.75 hours
Decimal → H:M:S: Multiply the fractional part by 60 to get minutes, then the remaining fraction by 60 to get seconds. e.g., 0.58 hours → 0h 34m 48s
